And we only really notice it when it happens to us, probably is common throughout the game.

Anyone who thinks that this couldn't happen in this day in age in the most corrupt sport in the world is just naive

Oh it's corrupt us fuck ol fella.... not sure what that has to do with us getting the odd shitty decision mind you...

It’s hilarious that grown adults believe in 2017 that there is no corruption in Football the biggest most lucrative sport in the globe. Where there are vast sums of money there will be corruption unfortunately. It was going on in the early 90s I’m sure it’s going on now. Who remembers Hans Segers at Everton diving over the ball

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
I always had them down as being merely shit. If it came out though that certain refs had been paid off by gamblers to affect games, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least as some of the decisions defy all logic. Making a mistake is one thing, the Bournemouth goal was inexplicable though for any number of reasons.

Sorry, Boxing is probably the most corrupt sport in the world

Agreed Bruuuno

So much money in Far East betting

I believe the Bournemouth game, Palace away with the 8 mins added time and Chelsea away 2 seasons ago when they got a pen in the last min for a foul that wasn’t a foul and a good few meters from the box were all refered by Madly and all ended in very controversial score draws

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
I used to think it was just shit refereeing but after the Bournemouth game I've changed my mind. I don't think it's a conspiracy against WHUFC but more refs taking bungs from
Gambling syndicates etc

Can't think of any other reason for such a bizarre act of cheating

Norman 12:49 Sat Dec 30
Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
A lot of them had been decisions that refs didn’t have to make and did. Someone will correct me if I’m I wrong I think it was 5 out of 7 red rescinded at one stage. We’ve had some absolute shockers like Leicester away with the last minute pen when they won the league and Soton away this season against Zab. Can you imagine if these decisions went against a top 6 team. Wenger, Mourinho would eat them alive

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
Few weeks on and tonnes of Lanzini-esque and worse dives have gone completely unpunished just as most of us predicted.

No consistency in the rule whatsoever. What a fucking crock of shit. Especially as he could have been a difference maker in that Newcastle game.

Sold is right, generally speaking. Most of the wrong calls we’ve had the last few years in memory were frustrating, but hard to call without TV replays, so we should just suck it up and get on with it, but this last one is on a whole new level.

I would have liked the club to have made a formal complaint, and if there is no set up for that, the club should have mouthed off about it and taken any consequences as a result.

Fifth Column maybe so but why are they so good for Tottenham In general, why hasn’t Ali been sent off and banned? All my Tottenham mates even say his the biggest cheat in Football

REFEREES ARE SHIT

I go for the 2nd option.

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
Northern you’re utterly clueless! Refs mess up all the time it’s a hard job we all know that. To overall a linesman meant to be the best in the league when he had no view of the incident is cheating. He was offside, he then clearly handled it as it was going wide. The ref then harassed the linesman trying to get him to agree with him. The way he picked up the ball and ran to the Lino after talking to Bournemouth players was unbelievable. Wilson then admits cheating the ref on national TV and still doesn’t get a ban. Lanzini one of two players banned this season when they could of banned another 5 in the last two weeks.

Several stats over the last couple of seasons have to pointed to the fact that we often get screwed. Was it at one time 5 out of 7 red cards rescinded, bottom of the fair play again this season, most bookings, least fouls per booking, most major decisions against us in a season, most pens against. The booking thing annoys me as in the Arsenal and Chelsea they were getting away with it and the first foul we do it’s a card.

Reminds me of the one Alex Song scored agaist Arsenal which was disallowed as I think it was Sakho let it through his legs

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
I don't care about trying to get things like the Wilson goal looked at, the lino flagged and ref cocked up. Always seems to be against us but I am sure other teams have examples. What I do care about and no one else seems bothered is that Lanzini got done and the general consensus of opinion on here was that he had looked for it so fair play. What I pointed out then and several times since is that the FA have to then apply that law to all. Deli Alli did exactly the same thing against Burnley and does not even get looked at, charged, banned etc. That is what I cannot accept and why the whole thing is fucking flawed. Happy New Year all.

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
Video refs from next season will do me
The suspicion is that bigger teams get borderline decisions and I am happy for us to take our chances on having decisions in our favour being overturned

That Zamora goal at Blackburn for example was actually blocked on the line by Tevez. In 2007
I am sure there have been one or two others since

Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
Agreed Sven.... the ref fucked up.... if there was video evidence like there is in virtually every sport in the world it would have been disallowed... and we would have won 3-2... agreed.... but we can't just do it for that game yeah... has to be when decisions go for us as well yeah?? But overall I'm a massive yes for video evidence within reason

Takashi Miike 11:08 Wed Dec 27
Re: Lanzini - Charged and 2 game ban depending upon an appeal
no, you're talking about 'the footballing world', I just refer to those no good cunts at the FA. anyway, I told you before what I thought about your observation of officials two years ago when you was coming out with the same old 'ref has made a mistake' bollocks. these cunts are long past the days when this was a sideline for an extra few quid at the weekend. they're supposedly professional referees, so I'm not having the mistake shit. I'm also not having the FA are whiter that white when they clearly have different interpretation of the rules depending on the club and that their new 'diving rule' doesn't apply for certain players
